Bill Schaeffer is qualified as both a dentist and a medical doctor. He has both a fellowship and a membership from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is registered by the General Dental Council as a specialist in surgical dentistry.
In 2001 he left a hospital-based surgical career to concentrate full-time on his particular interest of dental implants.
He has been placing dental implants since 1997 and is now both an accredited Instructor in the Bicon Dental Implant System and a member of the International Bicon Faculty.
With his extensive training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery he is particularly qualified both for the safe placement of dental implants and for the grafting procedures which are sometimes necessary.
He enjoys passing this knowledge on to others and has lectured both in this country and abroad on the topic of dental implants.
