When I was first referred to The Implant Centre by my dentist I was naturally apprehensive abut the removal of a rotten tooth and having a metal screw pushed into my jawbone! However I cannot stress how pleasantly surprised I was about the whole experience. The clinic is a lovely place to visit – very clean and all the staff are very friendly and reassuring. I was totally impressed by the professionalism of all who work there. The various stages of the procedure were explained to me very clearly and I was encouraged to ask questions if I was unsure of anything.
The removal of the offending tooth was remarkably pain free – even the next day there was very little pain or soreness – just a very mild discomfort which went away quickly. When I returned to have the root of the dental implant inserted – again I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of sensation – it is only some of the noises which are a little disconcerting – but a small price to pay for a gap less smile! When I returned to have the moulding and colour check for the new tooth there was great attention to detail to get it just right.
I am delighted with the finished result which is a perfect match and looks just like a normal tooth. The after-care treatment was also exemplary. Throughout the whole process I was always confident that I was in very safe hands.
Although having a dental implant is one of the more expensive options for filling a gap it is worth every penny and you feel so much more confident about smiling and have no worries about anything falling out!
My advice would be go for it – you’ll never look back.
