Useful facts for patients
Modestly during the procedure?
Simple Cases - are entirely pain-free during treatment (except for the local anaesthetic), and usually recover with very minimal discomfort or swelling. Complex Cases – including grafting experiences can vary and we offer sedation where required.
Often as little as 10-15 minutes surgical time. The treatment is carried out as quickly and safely as possible, this allows for the least trauma to the tissues.
Patients never need to put up with a visible gap during treatment, we allow them to wear adjusted dentures following surgery (albeit carefully!), or adhesive bridgework.
For accuracy and reassurance we use low dose 3D imaging, taking away any guesswork in 2D radiographs – after all we are working on 3D patients.
New implant surface technology and advanced treatment planning, result in the implant procedure usually being completed in 8-12 weeks. Some more complex cases can take several months, and we will ensure that this is understood in the planning stages.
