Dental Implant Care Plan - protect your investment

The whole team at The Implant Centre want your treatment to be successful and for it to go smoothly, and for the vast majority of patients this is the case.
However, unexpected complications can arise and our optional Implant Care Plan provides you with complete reassurance and security in the unlikely event that something should go wrong.

By its very nature, treatment with dental implants is expensive, and the Implant Care Plan provides security for your investment via a monthly direct debit (related to the number of implants you have had placed), providing the following cover for your treatment;

Failure of your bone to fuse (osseointegrate) onto the implant
This happens in approximately 1 in 30 implants placed and often there is no discernable cause for it. If this should occur, we will replace the implant at no additional charge. It is extremely rare for a second placement to be unsuccessful, however if it is, we will either place another implant or if you do not wish to do this, we will stop your direct debit and refund all of your treatment fees for that implant.

Damage to the Crowns, Bridgework or Dentures supported by your implants.
Crowns and bridgework on implants are no different to those on natural teeth and can therefore break or become damaged for the same reasons – after all, that’s often why patients seek implant treatment in the first place! If your crown or bridgework becomes damaged, for whatever reason, we will repair or replace it at no additional charge, regardless of whether the final restoration of your implant was done by your dentist or the Implant Centre. If the restoration was made by your dentist however, we ask that you attend for a brief appointment with us once it has been completed, so we can ensure that the restoration is not detrimental to the longevity of the implant.

The gums beneath dentures will continue to shrink over time. All dentures therefore need to be periodically re-lined or re-made to ensure that their fit is maintained. This is usually necessary every 2-5 years, (depending on how recently your teeth were lost). This is just as true for implant-retained dentures as for normal dentures and is essential if the implants are to avoid being overloaded. If you are on the Implant Care Plan your check visits will be at no additional charge but there will be a charge for re-lining and re-making your dentures when this is necessary.

Reviews and Checkups.
At the end of your treatment at The Implant Centre it is important that you attend for regular reviews with us as there are many ‘lifestyle’ factors that can adversely affect the health of implants but which we cannot foresee or be responsible for if you are no longer under our care.

We need to see you 6 months after your treatment is completed and once every year thereafter. During these checkups, we will examine your implants, take photos and x-rays. The cost of these reviews is fully covered by your Implant Care Plan (usual cost £80), as is the cost of any necessary work required thereafter.

Please note, it is an essential part of the Care Plan that you attend these check-ups if you wish your cover to be continued as we need to have the opportunity to correct any problems at an early stage.

Example Costs for Implant Care :

No. of Teeth Monthly £ Annual Total
1 £7 £84
2 - 3 £9 £108
4 - 6 £12 £144
7 - 9 £15 £180
10 + £18 £216

You can stop the payments at any time that you wish (by instructing your bank), but for as long as we continue to receive your monthly payments, and provided you attend for your check-ups, your implant work is covered against all eventualities.

"One word comes to mind now that I have had ‘implant placements’ – confidence. All the problems associated with loose or ill fitting dentures have disappeared"
